After photographing the piers at Brooklyn Bridge Park, we scooted over to Washington Street to catch a glimpse of one of the towers of the Manhattan Bridge in the DUMBO area of the borough. A clear night provided a perfect opportunity to stand in oncoming traffic and try a few long exposures to capture the tower (as well as the Empire State Building framed underneath the bridge deck). On the recommendation of a friend, we added a quick stop in Verona during out 2016 trip to Italy. Not sure of what to expect, it quickly became one of our favourite cities on the trip; immediately regretting our decision to spend only one night. Here sits the town centre of Piazza Bra, where the cobblestone streets wrap around the Arena di Verona just before sunrise.
